München: Gleam of hope
Since several years the Korff foundation supports the child and youth centre bright spot Hasenbergl. Children and youngsters who grow up under difficult conditions in emergency shelters or immediately adjoining social flats are taken care of there. The district Hasenbergl has originated after World War II from a hut camp and still today is valid as a socially difficult and unprivileged area. Bright spot Hasenbergl breaks through the circulation of social disadvantage, compensates deficits and enables for the self-help. The children and youngsters receive with it the chance of an independent, self-determined and happy life. Polite manners, knowledge of social rituals like welcoming and dismissing, an understanding for exchange justice and the correspondence concerning values like honesty, justice and tolerance are conditions for a successful and peaceful living together in our society. In specific social training unities the children learn to integrate themselves into our society and to state appropriately.
