India: Professional training in Lakhnau

Uttar Pradesh is one of the poorest federal states of India. In the capital of Lakhnau live nearly 2.5 million people. Around the capital there live many landless farmers. Those farmers try to earn the upkeep for their families as a day-taler. The target group of the project are the youngsters of the landless families who have no future prospects because of their familial and social basic conditions. The Don Bosco Technical Institute offers with its training programs a way out from the vicious circle of lacking education, exploitation and economic need. The new education branch "powder coating" is an answer to the demands of the local job market and promises very good job chances.
